November 5, 2008 at 4pm (PT) Live Cariel will interview special guest, Ruth Gould-Goodman who is the author of The Sacred Book of U: Unveiling Lost Teachings of the Deep Feminine and a teacher of conscious embodiment, utilizing the expressive capacity of the breath, voice, and movement to help people recognize their own mastery.

Ruth began her body-based exploration of consciousness as dance therapy at NYU's Health and Healing Professions Master's program. For over thirty-five years, Ruth has explored the realms of the body, movement and spirituality. She is a practicing California-licensed acupuncturist with a private practice of intuitive energy healing.

Ruth guides her students to attune to the internal river of life energy arising through the core of their own body. Initiated into listening to and trusting the impulses of their bodies, her students activate their own bodies' capacity to self-heal. The system she has developed, La Madre Yoga, draws from the roots of yoga, marshal arts, indigenous dance, creative movement and vocal expression. Through her understanding to make breath the center of spiritual practice, she has brought forth a simple and practical approach that brings dramatic, long-term transformation in the bodies and lives of her students and clients.
